“Puttin’ on the Ritz” for your guests just got a whole lot easier with blumeboxes. Being a paper product, blumeboxes are easy to decorate with materials of all kinds.

Creative Cardboard designed this fun, non-perishable bouquet that incorporates a mixture of silk flowers, boas, ribbon, and glittered tags, creating a fabulous way to guide guests to their seats!

Create this look by using 8″ black blumeboxes, passion pink boas, pink zig zag ribbon (or use a Cricut to cut out the zig zag material) silver glittered foam, adhesive numbers, 3 x artificial calla lily flowers and pearl sprays.

If you have not heard of Abby’s Closet, it is time you get to know more about this great non-profit, who happens to be based in our backyard, Portland Or.

The idea started with a pink prom dress. When Abby Egland was cleaning out her closet before starting college, she wondered how she could best pass along the pretty pink dress that she had worn to her Prom. Her mom, Sally, had a great idea: why not start a volunteer group that collects formal dresses, and then give them away each spring to high school women who needed them for their prom? This was the start of Abby’s Closet in 2004.

For this years  “May Day Tea” and silent auction, Abby’s Closet used 6″ black blumeboxes as the centerpieces which doubled as table numbers. We love how they incorporated the pink and black color theme into the centerpiece with decorative paper and ribbon.
