When we spotted these fabulous Halloween Treat Buckets via Pinterest, we could not help ourselves by re-creating them with blumeboxes!
These projects lend themselves perfectly for little’s too, who love to craft! So whether you fancy pumpkins, mummies, ghosts, spiders, bats or Frankenstein, blumeboxes are a great base to start creating spook-tacular centerpieces and candy boxes!
At first glance, we thought this Frankenstein popcorn box might have been constructed from a blumebox, but we read that it was made from construction paper. The 4″ lime slice cube makes for a very rigid base, easy to adhere foam paper, googly eyes, buttons and candy too! No template required for this one, just draw, cut, paste and your monster will start to take shape in no time!
The wide winged bat, inspired by another pinterest post, was constructed from a 6″ black blumebox, foam paper for the wings, googly eyes and a white paint pen. We particularly loved the accent of striped wings, featured on our inspiration board, and think that an assortment of bats with various patterned black and white wings would make for a horrifically fabulous Halloween table!
So what are you waiting for…start cutting, gluing and creating and get your “BOO”on!

These are just two of many paper printable’s available from the Anders Ruff Etsy Shop that we discovered through a Halloween blog post over at Hostess with the Mostess. Be sure to check out all of these fantastic ideas that are available to purchase, ensuring your Halloween party is filled with just the perfect balance of creepy crawly touches!
Pair the pumpkin carving fun with making your own blumebox candy tote. Granted this is no pillow case, but for smaller kids, this is a perfect size to get them introduced to the tradition of Trick or Treating.
Black, orange and white blumeboxes are a great color palette to work with. Use markers, paints, stickers and ribbons to add the personalized spooky touches to the blumeboxes. Displayed above, are painted Halloween icons on every panel of the blumebox. Drill two holes in opposite sides of the top of the blumebox and thread through a thick ribbon for the handle! Tie off each end and your little witches and goblins are ready to ding the doorbells!
So we have been seeing a lot of these candy skewers showing up on dessert tables everywhere and we are inspired to use them for a party in the near future. Yes, you can make your own or if you are strapped for time and want perfection, look to Sweet Indeed for help! They have kabobs for all party themes including Halloween. (Note: The ordering deadline for Halloween skewers is this week! – Friday, October 15th)
We spent some time on the Sweet Indeed blog, thanks to HWTM post today and fell in love with their “Love at First Bite” post. A super easy addition to the dessert table are French Macaroons in colors to match your party. Consider decorating the 8″ blumeboxes for the stand and resting a plate on top with an assortment of french macaroons.
