We are tardy in posting about some pretty cool news over here at blumebox. My husband Wade, co-founder of blumebox,  became a US citizen and we could not think of a better way to honor his achievement than to throw a red, white and blue party! Don’t fret all you Kiwi’s out there, he did not give up all his oath to the Queen, he has dual citizenship!

Featured for the first time ever, we showcased the workings of our new cake pop insert at this party. We bundled five 4″ white cubes, wrapped in our red and white striped paper ribbon, inserted the new cake pop insert into each cube and filled them with doughnut holes on a stick! This was a fun and inviting way to get guests to come and go noshing on doughnut holes. Only problem, we ran out of doughnuts all too fast! Note to party planner…order extra extra doughnut holes.

Love Sweet Love is what we have for our new cake pop/lollipop display box. We here at blumebox have a “thing” for sweets and when we got introduced to cake pops…man oh man it was love at first bite. So we saw fit to design a carrier to house these sweet suckers!

The cake pop /lollipop display simply fits into our 4″ blumebox cube and VOILA! You have yourself one tasty looking display! Of course sky is the limit as to what else you can put into these new displays. We are loving brainstorming all the options.

For Valentine’s Day we tested mini cupcakes that we stuck a stick into. They held up well for the shoot, but we could see that the weight of the cupcake could force itself down the stick overtime.

A party is not a party without something to do, and this bubble gum bauble necklace is by far the cutest thing out there! If you have not met One Charming Party, do! They crafted up this adorable how to and have oodles more!

The inspiration behind this sweet decoration idea came from a cake pop date with my daughter over the weekend.

For those of you unfamiliar with Starbucks new tasty addition, a cake pop is cake on a stick. Believe me, it is much more heavenly in person than words can describe.  And to see the happiness that such a baked good provides my daughter, makes my day!  I planned to take Perrin to Starbucks to dine on one of these “yummy”(as described from my 2 year old) treats, but I came up with this fabulous idea and moved our date to take place at home.

What would happen if rainbow sprinkles met a blumebox?

I took a 4″ white cube blumebox, sprayed one side of the blumebox with spray-on adhesive and rolled it in a pan of rainbow sprinkles. I proceeded to cover the remaining three sides of the blumebox with glue and sprinkles. Next, I filled in any spots that were light or void of sprinkles and then proceeded to give an all over spray of adhesive to keep the sprinkles in place. Insert a styrofoam ball or square piece of floral foam into the blumebox and fill out with cut gerberas so that foam is hidden. And lastly insert the cake pop/s in the foam and you have one super cute and colorful cake pop stand!

Perrin can hardly wait for next weekend!

We removed the cake pop to showcase the fabulous rainbow sprinkled blumebox as a floral centerpiece. Multiply this idea, and create ten of these centerpieces filled with assorted colored gerberas or balloons and line a table for a kids birthday party or baby shower!
