Just saying “pinwheel”, makes us smile. Well, when we received an assortment of pinwheels from Pinwhirls Pinwheels Shop, we was giddy.

We experimented with using the pinwheels in floral arrangements, but there was a bit too much going on, so we pushed them aside till we could give them the attention they deserved. Well . . . when we discovered how perfectly they fit into our cake pop display boxes, it was love at first site!

Featured above is our new slate 4″ cube blumebox with passion pink chevron stripe ribbon filled with a cake pop display insert. We poked an assortment of small pink pinwheels directly into the outer perimeter holes of the display and saved a large pinwheel for the center. And to add some fun, we spread pink and white gumballs over the top!

Ice-Cream-Parlor-Party-

Ice-Cream-Parlor-Party-2

This is one spectacularly sweet, Ice Cream Parlour Birthday Party, that we had to share after spotting it over on Chickabug Blog.

Get a look at that back drop, will you! It is hand-painted by Deb Surawski of Florence, SC. Yes…Hand painted! How incredibly awesome is that!! ! While we were busy obsessing over this fabulous mural, we happened upon some blumeboxes that were incorporated on the tables.

On the dessert table, a pinwheel arrangement was designed inside a few 8″ white blumeboxes and decorated with ribbon and personalized decals. On the long tables,8″ blumeboxes, decorated with ribbon and personalized decals, were filled boa ice cream cones.

For more sweetened details on this light pink, chocolate brown and white, ice cream parlour party click on over here.

We love this “Ni Hao Kai-Lan” birthday party that we spotted over at Hostess with Mostess blog.

This super stylish red and aqua birthday party is the brilliant creation of Virginia from The Home Party Planner for her daughter’s 2nd birthday. We just adore everything about this sweet party, especially the embellished blumeboxes.

Blumeboxes were purchased in various colors and sizes to be used for balloon centerpieces, pinwheel holders and candy bouquets. Each blumebox was adorned with decorative ribbon that catered to the red and aqua color theme.

What a fabulous way to display the cutlery! This easy DIY project starts with our 4″ aqua marine cube and is decorated with red ribbon  and adorned with the custom made, “Taylor Turns Two” logo.

For more images from this “oh-so-cute” party, be sure to check out the following two blogs, Hostess with Mostess and The Home Party Planner.

We came across this adorable red white and baby blue sock monkey party over at the blog, We Are The New Black and had to share this wonderful first birthday party for their son Brady. For more details on each image be sure to visit the blog.

It looks as though the sock monkey is making a come back and we could not be more happy! Love the sock monkey!! He looks especially cute next to  the 8″ red burst blumeboxes. As you can see here blumeboxes are not just for flowers! Simply add decorative pinwheels to the blumeboxes and you have yourself some very creative, colorful and cost effective decorations.

A decent cupcake stand is hard to find, so we could not have been happier to have to have been introduced to this one from Petite Square Cupcake Tree.  Brady’s mom decorated the stand by spraypainting it blue and then gluing on the red and white ribbon (spraypaint and ribbon from Michael’s).

The sock monkey cake topper came from Etsy seller SpiritMama and it could not be any cuter, not to mention fit more perfectly with the cake and cupcakes of which were made by The Cake Lady.

Well done birthday boy!
