We have an unhealthy obsession with Pinterest and have been known to scour the site for endless party and decor ideas that could applied to blumeboxes. Of course along the way we have built boards for our dream house, but that is another post. Upon one of our searches, we came across Chalkboard Table Centerpieces that got us thinking that blumeboxes are the perfect medium to apply chalkboard paint! What an easy DIY and cost effective way to personalize centerpieces.

Just about any craft, paint or hardware store sells chalkboard paint, we happened to get our hands on a quart of Benjamin Moore and it worked great! Determine the size and shape you are desiring, create a stencil and stencil the shape directly on the box. Note: Pen works best to outline the shape!  And don’t fret about seeing the pen lines, as the paint will cover any guides. Then carefully and steadily apply the chalk paint to the outline shape. Two coats will due. Let dry and apply chalk!

Featured here is our 5.5″ white cube that we applied chalk paint to our trellis shape outline, and then proceeded to chalk out table numbers. A variety of succulents filled the blumeboxes, which added depth to the table design. What fabulous way to turn centerpieces into table numbers that would make for terrific gifts for guests at the end of the event.

The ideas are endless with this super easy DIY project especially when you discover that there is colored chalk paint! What an adorable idea for treat boxes at a birthday party, or personalized centerpieces for a baby or bridal shower!

With the change of seasons, comes a change in the colors, and we love seeing the rich hues of red, green, blue, brown and black popping up in our customers floral designs.

For those of you who have not seen any of Stems Floral Design Studio work, be sure to hop on over to their Facebook Page to do so. Or browse our bridal bouquet gallery, as we love featuring their creative blumebox designs.

For starters, we love the incorporation of the feathers within these bridal bouquets. Feathers  are a fab way to add a bit of texture and color to any floral arrangement.

As for the blumeboxes…We have seen monograms, but adding  photographs of the bride and groom is such a creative touch for the bridal bouquet boxes.

Shown here are 8″ white blumeboxes decorated with differing widths of black and red satin ribbon, topped off with the photo!

Another beauty from our friends over at Park Florist. This wedding occurred in October but we feel it serves as great inspiration for the Summer season.

The 8″ white blumebox makes for a perfect canvas to accessorize. We are loving the addition of the silk floral petal confetti, something we have not seen been done before! And of course we the personalized touch of adding the bride’s name on the bouquet.

The Flowers: The brides bouquet is comprised of kathleen rose and stephanotis, hydrangea, crystal blush calla lilies giving off a very classic and sweet look.

The passion pink blumeboxes provide an accent of color to the already stunning bridal bouquets. We adore the layered look of the ribbon that the Park Florist designers use to customize blumeboxes for their clients.

The Flowers: For the brides maids… some lime green was to added to the various hues of pink, providing intrigue and radiance.
