St.-Patrick-Day-Party-2013

St.-Patrick-Day-Party-2013-2

This St. Patrick’s Day we want to paint the town GREEN, and red, yellow, orange, blue and purple!

With some festive party supplies from the fabulous Shop Sweet Lulu and a whole lot of colorful crafts, we got to work on some fun rainbow clad party ideas, fit for a small village of lucky leprechauns!

With a roll of kraft paper, assorted colors of crepe paper, and cotton balls, the backdrop was constructed and hung in 10 minutes. It doesn’t get any easier than this and we have to say, we loved the results!

Just when we thought we could not get any craftier in a days work, we made one pretty awesome discovery! You know those super cool Push Up Pop containers…they fit inside the blumebox cake-pop insert with a little rigging. Super cool, right? We thought so. This was our first time using the push up pop containers, and we loved everything about them. Each push up pop was layered with Rolo’s and Skittles. With a few cuts and scores made with a utility knife, the cake pop display was adjusted to fit the wider base push up pop sticks.

Stay tuned for a tutorial on how to create your very own display stand for your push up pops, due out later this week!

White is simply elegant and with a zest of lime green…it’s refreshingly stunning!

Our eyes were drawn to this poolside bridal shower, created by Ellen Bessett Events, because of the stunning paper back drop that Ellen made in three days and via a Pinterest tutorial. After further inspection of this elegantly simple affair, we spotted some 4″ blumebox cubes with cake pop inserts displaying yummy cake pops from The Baking Bar.

For more zest of lime, be sure to visit Ellen’s blog that features this white and lime green wedding shower.

You do know that March is just around the corner and the luck of the Irish will be upon us on March 17th!!

Our little leprechauns inspired us to create a sweet table celebrating all things green, rainbow and of course lucky. We started with two contrasting green table linens for the back drop and accessorized it accordingly. Simple ribbon, streamers and balloons are easy and cost effective decorations that add pizazz to a drab wall or table!

The paper cone candy buffet was created by using our 5.5″ white blumebox cubes that were filled to the rim with tasty Rolo’s. The cones themselves were constructed from scrap booking paper we found at Michael’s that were squared off and glued to form a cone. Each cone was filled with a Leprechaun’s go-to snack Lucky Charms, that were then plunged into the sea of Rolo’s, holding them upright. To construct the container base, we grouped two 5.5″ white blumebox cubes together and tied them off with decorative ribbon that were topped off with decorative rubber shamrocks! Of course you could have one long candy box that lined the length of the table!

We wanted to add a subtle touch of flowers and felt that the addition of greenery was just perfect So we filled a 6″ white blumebox accented with our sage green stripe paper ribbon and we love the results.

Don’t stop here! Be sure to browse online for some cute and easy decor and baked goods ideas to ring in the luckiest day of the year. Below are a few that would be great additions to any party. For more ideas check out out St. Patrick’s Board over on Pinterest.
