blumebud brunch

When is the last time you used place cards? Probably donkey years, right?
Well a month or so ago, I decided to turn breakfast into a dressed up affair and set the table with some fun items I have been gathering from Oh Joy!, who recently partnered with Target, to create some awesome sherbert hued party supplies.

To seat my wee guests, I busted out a package of gold damask blumebuds. Sold by the 6-pack the blumebuds are supplied flat and can be assembled with the solid color facing out or the patterned facing out. A fun way to add some pizazz to any table! Next, I wrote the names of each of our diners on the tag that comes included, added a flower and water to the tube that is part of the blumebud and we had some pretty cute place card holders that doubled as a bud vase!

Super simple and makes such an impact! My girls felt so special and loved the idea of having their own place to sit.

Shop our blumebud collection of fabulous colors that are perfect for any occasion!

Clever tip from blumebox customer: “I recently recently used the blumebuds at a breakfast I was hosting to call out the assortment of items on our food table! I was able to identify Gluten Free, nut free items very easily!

4th-of-July-Licorice-Display

We have a super easy do it yourself today just in time for the 4th of July. We discovered a fun way to add pattern and color to candy!

Separate the paper ribbon so that it is in strips, set stack of candy (in this case we used our favorite, red vines) on top of ribbon and begin rolling paper around candy and seal off with tape, washi tape or stickers.

And presto, you have one fire cracking display cute enough for any 4th of July party!

make-a-woodland-inspired-holiday-table-decoration-with-blumebox

I love me some woodland inspiration, so it was a no brainer that my holiday table would be adorned with elements of this rustic theme. Good thing I was not tardy with my holiday table as I am with posting this idea! But better late than never!!

The centerpieces were very simple but placed on top of kraft paper runner, plates and my family of fawns, this table was so awesome in the most simplistic and mid century modern way.

make your own valentine's day succulent box

Let’s not over think things upcoming holiday people. Valentine’s Day is not just for lovers….its for friends, teachers, co-workers. It’s a day to say “You Rock!” . . . “Thank you for being you”. . . “Just because”.  So, with this simple formula we bring you a simple,  oh so cute and fun gift idea with washi  tape (a fave of ours), a blumebox and a 4″ potted succulent.

Select your favorite color blumebox and patterned washi tape. Open blumebox till the bottom locks into place and the blumebox is sturdy. Begin by tearing various lengths of washi tape and place on blumebox. Adjust direction of washi tape to take shape of a heart.

Pop the blumebox liner (that comes with the blumebox) in the base of box followed by the succulent and you voila!

Make one or make duplicates, this is a cute, clever and easy DIY valentine for some lucky peeps!
