pink wedding centerpiece with white feather boa

Michelle at Floribunda Designs is the mastermind behind this watercolor inspired pink, black and white wedding centerpiece.
She started with a 6″ pretty-n-pink blumebox and added subtle touches of elegance by stamping the couple’s initials onto heavy paper then cutting narrow strips of more paper in a corresponding color to create a ribbon. She added a white boa to the neck of the blumebox, adding a delicate touch of gossamer to the arrangement.

This is such an elegant wedding centerpiece, yet was created very simply using her scrap-booking skills.

oh-so-mod black and white centerpieces

For a friends 39-again birthday party we wanted to create a modern contemporary table setting and because this wasn’t her first 39th birthday party, we wanted to keep the cost per centerpiece to a reasonable level.

This mod inspired centerpiece was a cinch to create. We started with a black 4” cube ($3.50ea) and adhered our eco-friendly printed ribbons ($1.99 per centerpiece) to each side giving it a crisp boost of contemporary style. Using black and white bird blumebud place card holders ($9/6-pack) adds a classic and personal touch.

Adding lots of greens to these centerpieces also allowed us to minimize the number of flowers required yet still creates a colorful centerpiece.  In this case we allowed each of the guests to take the centerpieces home to enjoy as a party favor, but maybe we should have folded them up and used them for her 39th again party next year…

casino-theme-floral-centerpiece

This contrast of red and black is striking and is perfect for a wide variety of parties. Shown here was a design Lemiga Events used for a Casino Night soiree.

To get a similar look, start with a 6″ black blumebox and wrap with decorative ribbon for a little splash of color. A monochromatic palette using a variety of different flowers creates a pulled-together look that still has interesting diversity. Add a few sprigs of greenery, and the end result is really stunning. The perfect floral centerpiece for your next casino theme party or event.

tote-for-your-bridesmaids-bouquets1

Consider creating this tote for your bridesmaids to carry in lieu of the standard bridal bouquet.
Decorate the 6″ blumebox with fabric, ribbon, or your favorite wrapping paper to complement your wedding color palette. Then add the ribbon handle by drilling two holes through opposite sides of the blumebox and tie each end off in a knot, turning it into a purse. Fill it with flowers or leave it empty to be filled later with their personal accessories.
Here we used decorative gift-wrap to adorn the 6” blumebox, which allowed us to tie in the romantic black and white theme of the wedding.
This would also make a great basket for the flower girl to hold her petals!

Modern black and white wedding centerpieces

These black and white centerpieces were created by using an assortment of blumebox sizes and simply adding decorative ribbon to the corner edges of each blumebox.
Cut ribbon to desired length, glue and you’ll have an exquisite focal point for your table!
Another great idea: reverse the color combination and start with black blumeboxes adorned with white ribbon.

Assorted sizes (4", 6" and 8") of white bright and gold mine blumeboxes for hawaiian wedding centerpieces

A Hawaiian wedding begs the use of lush colors reminiscent of the tropics. Flowergirls Hawaii incorporated gold and white blumeboxes to complement the verdant design of this tropical-themed wedding. Square gold vases filled with Dahlias in  shades of lemon and coral, and white 8 inch blumeboxes showcasing statuesque, bright pink ginger -  the table rivaled the famous Hawaiian sunset it was set under.

The Green Event Studio, that specializes in executing eco-friendly soirees, created this gorgeous “green” bouquet using Veriflora certified flowers and our 6” mocha blumebox at their launch party. The mocha blumebox complemented the green, white and gold arrangements and the lovely stark white table cloths and candles. Using mocha zebra-striped blumebuds as place card holders is a nice way to tie in the environmental theme in a fun way.
