We posted these doilie & heart jars a week ago and wanted to try and recreate them on the 4″ blumeboxes.

While we love the vintage appeal of the mason jar version by crescendoh.com, the blumeboxes offer a pop of color.

Did we mention how easy this was to make? You will need a pack of doilies, felt (red and pink), and string and that is it. The only adhesive needed was to tie down the ends of the string. It was that simple.

How heart-a-licous would a table of  4″ cube blumeboxes in white, pretty n pink, red and passion pink decorated with assorted colored hearts and doilies be for a valentines party?

Love Sweet Love is what we have for our new cake pop/lollipop display box. We here at blumebox have a “thing” for sweets and when we got introduced to cake pops…man oh man it was love at first bite. So we saw fit to design a carrier to house these sweet suckers!

The cake pop /lollipop display simply fits into our 4″ blumebox cube and VOILA! You have yourself one tasty looking display! Of course sky is the limit as to what else you can put into these new displays. We are loving brainstorming all the options.

For Valentine’s Day we tested mini cupcakes that we stuck a stick into. They held up well for the shoot, but we could see that the weight of the cupcake could force itself down the stick overtime.

A party is not a party without something to do, and this bubble gum bauble necklace is by far the cutest thing out there! If you have not met One Charming Party, do! They crafted up this adorable how to and have oodles more!

Say it with a heart!  For this shoot we used the 4″ pretty n pink blumebox with the NEW cake pop insert, heart lollies, tiny cinnamon heart candies to fill the bottom, and a heart chalk decal.  The bottom photo is a 6″ red burst blumebox with white mums and mini red carnations along with our heart chalk decal.

How about a cookie pop for your valentine sweetheart?

These cookie pops are made from two sugar cookies sandwiched together with frosting, on a lollipop stick. The outside cookie was frosted on one side decorated with skittles or whatever other decor you would like to use.

Hostess Tori used a 4″ white cube blumebox and our brand new cake pop insert to display her fun sweet treats. Simple, easy, and cute!

This idea is a easy to tailor for any event or holiday.

Did someone say gumdrops?  I’m there.  Seriously who doesn’t love gumdrops?  Such a fantastically bright and cheery Holiday party from Paper and Pigtails and also featured on Hostess with the Mostess.   We love all of the colorful creative details that were included in this party.  The gumdrop trees, the gumdrop cake, gumdrop necklaces, gumdrop shaped cookies, and of course the gumdrop bouquets in the 6″ white bright blumeboxes.

All of these great details would also work well for a Candyland themed party!

Yesterday, I got to spend a few hours amongst some awesome gals showering the most wonderful mama-to-be.

I especially loved spotting the blumebox arrangements throughout the house, that one of the hostesses arranged of which included a gorgeous collection of white flowers and extremely cool (as in awesome) greens!

Boy or girl no one knows just yet! So an assortment of 6″pretty n pink and 6″baby blue blumeboxes throughout the party, made for a very festive baby shower celebration!

We love being surprised by themes and color pallets for events, and this beautiful kraft natural and white baby shower sent in from Floret Cadet did just that!

The floral concept and design is best described by Kate from Floret Cadet.

“This past Saturday I had the fun job of creating flowers for a friend of a friend’s baby shower.  Because they were going to have electric skillets in the center of each table where guests could cook toppings and make their own spring rolls, we opted to do little mini arrangements for each guest in 6″ natural colored blumeboxes vs traditional centerpieces.

I used all white flowers at the mother-to-be’s request, and worked in some turquoise, teal and spring green accents in the form of velvet ribbons.   Because I made 25 of these, I got a chance to use pretty much every white flower out there, and make each one different.  The flowers used were dahlias, carnations, china mums, lisianthus, freesia, dendrobium, stock, ornithogalum arabicum, snowberries, bouvardia, hyacinth, phlox, anemones, and limonium.”

While researching train themed parties, we came upon an adorable one via the blog Mommy Amour, that just so happened to feature the 8″ white blumeboxes on the dessert table of her 2 year old boy, Grayson’s lime green and blue train birthday party!

It is fare to say that not one detail was left out of this incredibly orchestrated party! We know from experience that the cost of  parties add up and it is important to be smart in the planning process and choose wisely where you want to spend the money. We love this clever, low-cost centerpiece option, Colleen came up with, featuring the 8″ white blumebox, lime slice striped paper ribbon filled with light blue tissue paper pom poms.

We of course could not resist including a picture of Grayson, the birthday boy, helping himself to a cupcake or two! A boy after my own heart!

We have an unhealthy obsession with Pinterest and have been known to scour the site for endless party and decor ideas that could applied to blumeboxes. Of course along the way we have built boards for our dream house, but that is another post. Upon one of our searches, we came across Chalkboard Table Centerpieces that got us thinking that blumeboxes are the perfect medium to apply chalkboard paint! What an easy DIY and cost effective way to personalize centerpieces.

Just about any craft, paint or hardware store sells chalkboard paint, we happened to get our hands on a quart of Benjamin Moore and it worked great! Determine the size and shape you are desiring, create a stencil and stencil the shape directly on the box. Note: Pen works best to outline the shape!  And don’t fret about seeing the pen lines, as the paint will cover any guides. Then carefully and steadily apply the chalk paint to the outline shape. Two coats will due. Let dry and apply chalk!

Featured here is our 5.5″ white cube that we applied chalk paint to our trellis shape outline, and then proceeded to chalk out table numbers. A variety of succulents filled the blumeboxes, which added depth to the table design. What fabulous way to turn centerpieces into table numbers that would make for terrific gifts for guests at the end of the event.

The ideas are endless with this super easy DIY project especially when you discover that there is colored chalk paint! What an adorable idea for treat boxes at a birthday party, or personalized centerpieces for a baby or bridal shower!
