Blumebox Walks The Plank With Pirate Madness!

Our inspiration for this Pirate themed board came from a party that, Aja at Kaleidoscope Parties, masterminded. She decorated jet-set black blumeboxes to hold her pirate themed printed signs  that called out activities at Captain Trevor’s shin dig.

The pirates featured above, is the crew from Captain Luka’s party, who’s mom is the talented Tori, of Totful Memories.

Tori threw one awesome Pirate Party for her son Luka, of which included the pirate marshmallow  pops and pirate shipcakes featured above. Be sure to “Walk the plank” on over, to see many more creative details of this creative 5th birthday pirate bash.

Looking to add more sweets, check out these pirate cake pops and for additional party decor we loved these black and white skull & crossbones balloons.

Flag banners are a great addition to any wall or table. We came across this red and white striped skull & cross bone banner in our immediate search, but can’t find the link to the source anywhere! We will continue to scour the web to find it and promise to pay tribute once we locate it. It was just too cool not to feature.

A party like this can be time consuming, so try and keep things simple! Here are a few tips on how to do just that:

1) Incorporate gifts into the decor. The pirate masked chairs are a brilliant way to add decor, while being an awesome gift for your guests to enjoy during or after the party!

2) Make or buy basic cupcakes and add the flare with cupcake wrappers and toppers!

And don’t for a second think that pirate parties are just for boys! While any of these ideas could easily be used for a girl pirate party (but if you wish for a more girlie take) check out this Pink Pirate Party for girls over at Kara’s Party Ideas.
